The first press-verified public archive of luxury residential real estate. Provenance Record documents the transactions, the coverage, and the brokers who define the market — sourced exclusively from editorial record.
We believe in transparency. In a market where rumors rival facts, where "off-market" deals outnumber public transactions, and where market knowledge is jealously guarded—we exist to create a single source of truth.
Every entry in Provenance Record is verified against published editorial. No speculation. No projections. Only transactions as documented by the world's most respected publications.
All transactions must be cited in recognized editorial publications: The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg, Financial Times, The Real Deal, Mansion Global, Robb Report, Architectural Digest, or equivalent regional/market publications.
Brokers and agents are identified by name. We do not list "undisclosed representatives" or anonymous agencies. Every transaction records which broker(s) represented which party.
We focus on transactions at the scale that commands editorial coverage: typically $10M+ in secondary markets, $15M+ in major metropolitan areas, and $25M+ for the most exclusive properties.
Each transaction includes the publication(s) that reported it. We archive the publication date, headline, and attribution. The press record is the primary source.
Transactions are dated by announcement/publication date, not by close date or (where applicable) prior listing date. We track the moment the market learned about the transaction.
We do not accept press releases, marketing materials, or press kit submissions. All entries are drawn from independent editorial sources. We are a research archive, not a PR platform.
Provenance Record is a project of The SOCIETY Group, an independent research and intelligence platform focused on luxury markets. The SOCIETY Group produces market analysis, proprietary datasets, and public archives in real estate, wine, art, and fine goods.
Our team monitors primary editorial sources daily. When a new luxury residential transaction is published, we extract key data: date, property address, sale price, broker representation, and publication(s). Each entry is verified against the original editorial and filed chronologically. This archive represents transactions as they entered the public record through editorial coverage.
